Ramallah- Wataniya Mobile - the new mobile operator in Palestine, and BCI, the official distributor of Samsung Mobile announced today that they are sponsoring activity that aims to enable thousands of Palestinians to watch the 64 World Cup games through 5 locations across the West Bank cities of Hebron, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Nablus, and Tulkarem in June 2010. Wataniya Mobile is the platinum sponsor from, and BCI is the golden sponsor, people will be able to enjoy this globally significant event, enjoy special activities at locations with opportunity to win gifts in the 5 venues, which will be officially opened on the 11th of June for the first match between South Africa and Argentina. A competition has already started which allowed people to enter a draw to win a 2010 Hyundai I20 car, VIP World Cup tickets including travel and accommodation costs. People can participate in this competition by sending an empty message to a Wataniya Mobile short code number 6310 which started on the first of April and will end on the 11th July. While the winner of the car will be announced on the 11th July, the first four winners of tickets were announced and, two other winners will be announced after about 25 days. Mr. Khaled Eslim, the first winner, said “it was an unbelievable surprised that shocked me , but this is something we were expecting from Wataniya Mobile, as they, thankfully, supported the Palestinian youth and sports in many other occasions”. Mr. Ala’a Abd Alhadi, the second winner, indicated that he was excited when he knew that he won the ticket, and said “we are not surprised with Wataniya Mobile, because simply from the day they launched, they announced a wide range of services and offers, certainly benefiting the Palestinian community”, he also added “this award means a lot to me on a personal level, as I am a huge football fan, and attending the final game is like a dream coming true”.
